Fernbank Museum of Natural History |
At this museum, visitors can engage their senses with a collection of interactive and entertaining learning stations that are sure to intrigue visitors of all ages. Giants of the Mesozoic places visitors at the feet of Giganotosaurus, a 47-foot meat-eating dinosaur, as it mounts a slashing attack on Argentinosaurus, a 126- to 127-foot plant-eating dinosaur, in the Great Hall. The Naturalist Center is a public laboratory and classroom for students and scientists of the future. In this unique setting, visitors may use the tools and knowledge of the Fernbank Science Center staff to study aspects of the natural world. The central core of the Naturalist Center houses a scanning electron microscope made possible by a local foundation grant. Computers and other laboratory equipment help make this a truly engaging environment.
