Garden City is located in
Chatham County on the northern city limits of
Savannah along Highway 21 on the banks of the Savannah River near Georgia's Atlantic seacoast and just west of the South Carolina state line in the
Coast Region of the state. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 7,439, an increase of 29 since 1990.
Garden City is part of the Savannah, Georgia metro area.
