Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art

Located on Telfair Street, the institute is housed in a handsome three-story Federal style house built by Georgia legislator Nicholas Ware in 1818. Because of its huge cost of $40,000, the structure was known as `Ware Folly.` Works by local and nationally known artists are displayed.

Admission is free. For more information or a detailed schedule of exhibitions, studio art classes and workshops please call the Institute.
