Founded in 1885, Georgia Institute of Technology, better known simply as Georgia Tech, is a public technology institution. Its programs include architecture, management, engineering, computing, and science. Two thirds of students are from Georgia. The admission procedure is highly competitive. Georgia Tech competes interscholastically at the NCAA Division I level.
