Helen

Helen is located in White County northeast of Atlanta along Highway 75 near the Chattahoochee National Forest in the Mountains Region of the state.

Began as a gold-mining town. In the 1960s, the community was remade as an alpine village, with cobblestone alleys and old-world towers. It was the filming location for 1951 movie, "I'd Climb the Highest Mountain".
