Kingsland is located in Camden County south of Savannah between St Marys and Folkston along Highway 17 on the banks of the St Marys River near the Intracoastal Waterway in the Coast Region of the state. Just north of the Florida state line.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 11,584, an increase of 5,495 since 1990.
It was named for W.H. King, mayor.
