Georgia Ballet

Georgia Ballet, a non-profit organization, comprised of a regional professional dance company and a dance school, was founded in 1962 by Iris Hensley. It is dedicated to promoting excellence in ballet performance and training, fostering an increased public awareness and appreciation for dance, and providing dedicated and talented dancers with the opportunity for advanced training and professional performing venues. Each year The Georgia Ballet presents a three production public performance series. Classes are offered in a variety of dance styles including ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, tap, and pilates. It also offers a series of performances for school children through the Arts in Education program.
