Emory Healthcare is the most comprehensive health care system in metropolitan
Atlanta. Emory's own hospitals include Emory University Hospital, Crawford Long Hospital, and Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital. Emory-Adventist Hospital of Smyrna is a jointly owned facility. EHCA, LLC, a limited liability company governed jointly by Emory Healthcare and Columbia/HCA, broadens Atlanta's access to care under the Emory umbrella to 2,184 licensed patient beds. Emory Healthcare also has 47 hospital affiliates representing 66 communities with more than 6,000 physicians throughout Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and North Carolina. In addition, Emory has long-standing relationships in patient care, teaching, and research with Grady Memorial Hospital, the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
