It was a humble, 10-bed hospital when Douglas Hospital opened its doors on Fairburn Road in 1954 to serve Douglas County Residents. Relocating to its current Hospital Drive location in 1974 allowed Douglas Hospital to add an additional 88 beds to serve the community's healthcare needs.
Today, with a population of close to 99,000 people, Douglas Hospital continues to rise to the healthcare demands and needs of the community. Its service was noted by the healthcare industry by being included as a Top 100 Hospital in the nation in 2002.
