Millen is located in
Jenkins County, of which it is the county seat, northwest of
Savannah between Waynesboro and Statesboro along Highway 25 on the banks of the Ogeechee River in the
Historic South Region of the state. Located on Hwy 25, between Waynesboro and Statesboro; Magnolia Springs State Park is nearby. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 3,765, a decrease of 43 since 1990.
