This museum houses a collection of Southern art from the late 18th century to contemporary pieces, including antebellum portraits and still life portraits. The museum also features changing exhibits and houses an art research library. From the opening in 1992, the Morris has hosted a wide range of exhibitions--Will Henry Stevens, Elliott Daingerfield, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, George Andrews, Benny Andrews, Ida Kohlmeyer, Robert Stackhouse, and many more.
