Norcross is located in
Gwinnett County just northeast of
Atlanta along Interstate 85 on the banks of the the Chattahoochee River in the
Metro Atlanta Region of the state. Norcross is part of the
Atlanta, Georgia metro area.
It was named for Jonathan Norcross, former mayor of Atlanta. Norcross received national attention for 2002 shoplifting arrest of Olga Korbut, Olympic medallist.
