Located on Abercorn Street and Oglethorpe Square, this house was designed in the Regency style by English architect William Jay. Influenced by classical antiquity, he created an elegant English villa 1816-19 using domestic and imported materials. According to Savannah oral tradition, in 1825 the Marquis de Lafayette was a guest here.

The house is furnished with rare antiques and contains decorative arts that were owned by Savannah citizens in the 19th century.

Hours of operation vary, closed holidays.
