Temple Mickve Israel

Located in the historic district on Gordon Street. The Gothic-style 1878 synagogue contains an archival museum displaying the Torah that the founders brought to Savannah from England in 1733. Other items of interest are letters from George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and several other presidents.
