Union City is located in
Fulton County just southwest of
Atlanta along Highway 92 on the banks of the Chattahoochee River in the
Metro Atlanta Region of the state. Union City is part of the
Atlanta, Georgia metro area.
Union City earned its name because it was the meeting point of two railroads.
