Chartered in 1785 and part of the University System of Georgia, this university offers degree programs in the arts and sciences, marine studies, music, business, agricultural and environmental science, education, family and consumer sciences, forest resources, jounalism, social work, pharmacy, law, vetrinary medicine and preprofessional studies. The 605 acre campus is in a small town 80 miles east of
Atlanta. Including residence halls there are 332 buildings.
Very active fraternities, sororities and over 400 clubs and organizations are on campus. Tours are available through admissions office.
