The mission of the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation and Recovery Program is to provide quality treatment services that are culturally appropriate to the Big Island adults and adolescents suffering from chemical dependency and domestic violence. This is accomplished through the use of an integrated approach to treatment utilizing both cognitive-behavioral and existential therapy. It also provides programs that treat the emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual aspects of a person's life. Programs include tobacco/prevention cessation program, individual psychotherapy, and anger management classes.

Annual Maui Steel Guitar Festival Maui HI April19-21 Featured performers will also conduct on-site school visits to various Maui schools to educate and and inform Maui's youth about the Hawaiian steel guitar. These visits, targeted specifically for students of these schools, includes both educational sessions and entertainment by the visiting performers.

Merrie Monarch Festival Hilo HI June7-9 Merrie Monarch Festival is a week-long cultural event held annually in Hilo on the island of Hawaii. Festivities start on Easter Sunday and culminate with the Hula competition events at the Edith Kanaka'ole Tennis Stadium - Miss Aloha Hula on Thursday, Hula Kahiko on Friday, and Hula 'Auana on Saturday.
