Hauula Loop Trail Hike

Takes about 3 hours and gains some 600 feet in elevation. To get there, take Highway 83 to Hauula Beach Park. Turn towards the mountains on Hauula Homestead Road. When the road forks to the left at Maakua Road, park on the road. Walk along Maakau Road to the wide grassy area for the beginning of the trail. This is a beginners hike, only a mile and a half (one way) with panoramic views, unique geography and a forest landscape.
