This bay on the south coast of
Lanai Island is nine miles from the center city. The beach is the only protected strand on the island. It is a favorite place for bodysurfing and swimming.
The beach is the site of a Lanai county park, an attractive facility that is the recreational focus of the island. It is just on the other side of a promontory from Manele Bay.
