This eclectic museum is the work of Parker descendant Harriet Solomon and her husband Albert. It includes artifacts from around the world as well as from Hawaii. Traditional artifacts include poi pounders, calabashes and bone fishhooks. Located at the junction of Hwy 19 and Hwy 250 the Kohala Mtn Rd. Open daily, admission is charged.

Merrie Monarch Festival Hilo HI June7-9 Merrie Monarch Festival is a week-long cultural event held annually in Hilo on the island of Hawaii. Festivities start on Easter Sunday and culminate with the Hula competition events at the Edith Kanaka'ole Tennis Stadium - Miss Aloha Hula on Thursday, Hula Kahiko on Friday, and Hula 'Auana on Saturday.
