Kapalua Resort Plantation Course

The Plantation Course is the newest and largest of Kapalua's three courses. It hosts the Mercedes Championships in January, which are the inaugural event on the PGA TOUR. The eighth hole requires a long shot across a ravine. The 18th hole slopes downhill toward the ocean. The 18 hole course opened in 1991 and is par 73. To obtain tee times, guests may call seven days in advance, non-guests four days in advance. Golfers say the fairways and greens are reminiscent of Augusta. They also note that putts break toward the ocean and you should bring your knockdown shot to deal with the tradewinds.
