Kaunaoa Beach
At Mauna Kea Beach Resort

This long, white sand beach slopes gradually, although ground seas in the winter months can make swimming dangerous. Consult beach attendants. At the public access end of the beach, there is plenty of sun or shade to enjoy the beach.

The facilities are owned by the adjacent hotel and guests tend to congregate around the hotel's beach facilities. Access is through the hotel's parking lot off Hwy 19, with 30 spaces reserved for the public.
