The entire
Koko Head area is a
Honolulu county regional park. It includes
Hanauma Bay,
Koko Head, Halona Blowhole, Sandy Beach and Koko Crater. Koko Crater and
Koko Head are both tuff cones created 10,000 years ago.
The park includes about 1,200 acres on the southeastern tip of the island. It is open daily 24 hours. There is also a Koko Crater botanical garden open daily 9am to 4pm. It contains cacti and other succulent plants.d
