Mahukona Beach Park

Located next to the old abandoned Port of Mahukona in the Kohala district. There is no sandy swimming beach, but divers and snorkelers can see wrecks and fish around the old docks.

Sugar used to be shipped here by rail for loading on ships for export. Heavy surf limits water activities in the winter, however. There are restrooms, showers and a camping area.
