The North Course fairways are narrower and more hilly in this course, which runs up the slopes of
Mt Haleakala. The par 5, 620 yard 14th hole has a 300 foot drop in elevation.
The 18 hole North Course is par 72 for 6,914/5,303 yds. Caddies are available and carts are included in greens fees. Guests of Makena Resort and Maui Prince Hotel may call up to one year in advance. Non-guests may call five days in advance.
The course is considered tough to putt, but "golf heaven on earth". It opened in 1993.
