Na Pali Coast

This remote, northern coast of Kauai Island is known for the carved spires that time and erosion have created. Kauai Island is 5.5 million years old, the oldest of the Hawaiian chain and the only island with navigable rivers.

The Kuhio Hwy (Rt 56) runs almost around the circumference of the island, but dead-ends on either side of the pristine Napali Coast and its forbidding geography.
