This facility is 35 miles from Waikiki and a world away culturally. Located on Oahu Island's north shore, it depicts islanders from seven Pacific nations and their centuries-old lifestyles. Tribal tatooing and transoceanic travel are explained.

There are seven villages on 42 acres, depicting Tahiti, Tonga, Samoa, New Zealand, Fiji, Marquesas and Hawaii. There is an evening show, a luau, a canoe pageant and a Polynesian arts and handicrafts marketplace.

In addition, the IMAX films "Polynesian Odyssey" and "The Living Sea" are shown. Gates open at 12:30 pm daily except Sunday and stay open til 9pm. There are several packages available.

06/09 Coming to The Laie area
Annual Maui Steel Guitar Festival Maui HI April19-21 Featured performers will also conduct on-site school visits to various Maui schools to educate and and inform Maui's youth about the Hawaiian steel guitar. These visits, targeted specifically for students of these schools, includes both educational sessions and entertainment by the visiting performers.
