Queen Kaahumanu Hwy (Hwy 19)

This is the main road from Kailue-Kona Keahole Airport. Turn right to go south to reach Kailua Kona. Turn left to go north to major resorts of Kona Village. The Royal Waikoloan, the Hilton Waikoloa Village and three upscale condos are at Waikoloa, the Bay Club, the Vistas and Aston Shores. At Mauna Lani Resort are Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows, the Ritz-Carlton Mauna Lani and two condo complexes, the Islands and the Point.

At Mauna Kea Resort are Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. At Waimea, Hwy 19 turns inland and comes out along the Kamakua Coast on the northeast. It ends 96 miles from Kailua Kona at Hilo.
