The USS Bowfin is a WWII era submarine that is moored in a military park adjacent to the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor. The Bowfin sank 44 ships in the Pacific during WWII. There is no charge to enter the park, but self-guided tours are charged.
A museum depicts submarine development up to nuclear powered subs. Other highlights include a periscope and conning tower, a one-man Japanese suicide sub and a memorial to the 52 US submarines lost in WWII. It is open daily 8am to 5pm.
There is an admission charge for self-guided tours with wireless headsets and sound effects. Children under four are not permitted on the USS Bowfin.
