Located on the edge of the Kilauea Caldera. This hands-on museum has films of previous eruptions and current activity. There is also a super-sensitive seismograph.
Admission is free and it is open daily from 8:30am to 5pm. People with health and respiratory problems should avoid the sulphurous vapors in the crater.
