Although smaller than the
Koolau Mtns, this range also runs north-south in the northwestern section of
Oahu Island. It divides the Waianae Coast from the Leilehua Plateau of the interior, which is still covered in sugarcane and pineapple.
The plateau runs between the two mountain ranges from Waialua - Oahu on the north shore to Ewa, just west of Pearl Harbor.
