Each grain of salt could tell a story for the millions of visitors that walk this beach. This famous stretch of sand offers so many things to do. Getting a tan on Waikiki Beach is only the beginning. Waikiki has nearly 1.5 miles of beach; it's really a series of beaches with their own intriguing names and flavors: Kuhio, Sans Souci, Gray's, Kahanamoku. The sand connects a string of hotels and their oceanview restaurants. There are lots of dining choices. Cool off with a mai tai oceanside, or take in one of the many hotel's splendid buffets.

Get a rubber raft at an E-Z Discount or ABC Store and float offshore. Watch the surfers ride Waikiki's waves. Better yet, take a lesson or catch some waves on an outrigger canoe.

Browse through the four floors of shops and eateries that await you at Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center or grab a bite to eat at the International Marketplace's diversity-filled food court.
