This course is inland in South Kohala and was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The 18 hole par 72 course opened in 1972 and is 18 miles north of the airport. Golf carts are included in green fees. December to February is high season. Groups of 12 or more can call one year in advance for reservations. Others can call up to 30 days in advance with a 50% prepay. Others can call three days in advance of playing. Golfers say the course is long and difficult if winds are blowing hard. "A very fair test of golf" according to one player.
