Whale Center of the Pacific

Located in the Kaanapali Resort, this visitor information center is actually two distinct museums. One shows the "golden age of whaling" when sailing ships and their rowdy crews found their way to these islands.

The other museum shows the habits, migrations and recovery from near extinction of the humpback whales. Interactive displays and state-of-the-art video give an appreciation of these mammals which are an endangered species.

The Kaanapali Resort is just north of Lahaina. Whale Center of the Pacific is free and located in the Whalers Village, Shoppes and Museum.
