Since 1971, Wyland has dedicated his art to the preservation of the world's oceans. Using highly visible walls for his canvases, Wyland paints and airbrushes life-size portraits of marine life to raise awareness of the ocean's inhabitants.
It is estimated that a billion people a year see his 75 murals worldwide. There are many locations in Hawaii where marine art by Wyland and other artists can be viewed and purchased. There are four locations on Oahu Island.
On Maui Island there are three locations; on Kauai Island there are two locations and three locations on the Big Isalnd.
