Established in 1930, Decatur County Hospital's present facility was built in 1970. As a not-for-profit healthcare organization the hospital and its staff serve the residents of southern Iowa and northern Missouri. There are approximately 21,000 people in the hospital's primary service area.

Decatur County Hospital provides a wide range of quality healthcare services including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, therapeutic, emergency, mental health, public health and home care services.
