The Sioux Center Community Hospital is well suited to serve the health care needs of the community of Sioux Center, Iowa. Their hospital is a certified 21-bed acute facility. The hospital "swing bed" (skilled nursing) program allows for continued stay once the patient has been discharged from acute level care. In addition, a temporary service, "extended care", is offered while other arrangements for placement are made. The 69-bed long term care nursing facility provides intermediate care services and is certified by Medicare and Medicaid for reimbursement for skilled nursing services. A family centered obstetrics department includes the services of a hospital based Certified Midwife. Cardiac Care and Same Day Surgery suites allow for specialized hospital services. Outpatient clinics are also provided by a number of specialty physicians.
