Established in 1876, University of Northern Iowa is a public institution offering undergraduate degrees in business administration, education, humanities and fine arts, natural science, and social and behavioral sciences. The university is located in Cedar Falls, Black Hawk County. There are 5 undergraduate and 1 graduate school. Total enrollment is approximately 13000. Program leads to bachelors degrees, masters degrees, post-masters certificates and doctoral degrees. The 788 acre campus is in a small town about 100 miles north of Des Moines. Including residence halls, there are 64 buildings. Athletic scholarships are given in football, basketball, baseball, track/crosscountry and various sports. Fraternities, sororities and over 185 clubs and organizations are on campus. Tours of the campus are available through the admissions office.
