Arco Idaho |
Arco was the first city in the world to be lit with electricity generated by nuclear power. Located on Big Lost River at the junction of US 93 and US 20/26, Arco is the hub of the Lost River Valley and the county seat of Butte County.
The engineering prototype of the America's first nuclear submarine, the Nautilus, was built and tested in the desert on the Snake River Plain near Arco.
