Basques

The Basques are a people of the northern Iberian Peninsula, now part of Spain. Their ancient language is not related to any other modern European language. Many Basques emigrated to North America, where they continued their traditions of sheep herding. Basques have had a major influence on Idaho and their culture is found in restaurants, museums, and elsewhere.
