Bruneau Canyon

South of the Bruneau Sand Dunes stretches the spectacular Bruneau Canyon which splits the desert flats. Bighorn sheep and antelope abound in the area. The Paiute Indians originally discovered the canyon centuries ago and their elaborate drawings are found on rock slabs across the desert. Expect 30 minutes to travel the 12 miles of good gravel road.
