Witness the most spectacular display of nesting eagles, owls, hawks, and falcons in North America in the
Snake River Birds of Prey Area, a deep basaltic canyon about 45 minutes south of
Boise.
Daily boat tours in the spring show participants fluffy white new-born golden eagle chicks in cliffside nests. Best viewing is in May and early June.
Multi-day trips take visitors to the World Center for Birds of Prey, a captive-breeding center for exotic tropicsl raptors and peregrine falcons, including the rare California condor. Also included is a visit with Morley Nelson, a world-renowned raptor biologist, and a trip to the Snake River canyon itself. Overnight accommodations are provided in Boise.
