Emmett

Emmett is about 30 miles northwest of Boise at the junction of highways 16 and 52.

Fur trappers were the first whites to arrive here. The town, in Gem County, was named after the first white male born in the area. Considered the richest fruit growing area of Idaho with its extensive irrigation systems and excellent climate, this secluded valley produces many varieties of fruit.
