Hike, Bike, Ride the Lewis & Clark Trail

Much of Lewis and Clark's route across the Lolo Trail in the dense forests of northern Idaho is still intact. Guests can retrace the old Indian buffalo trail on a guided mountain bike or horseback trip.

Triple "O" Outfitters specializes in week-long horseback trips that traverse the Lewis and Clark Trail, and Lewis & Clark Adventures specializes in mountain bike adventures along the trail.

Both take guests to the same places that the exploratory party visited, camped, and nearly starved. Guests will not suffer the same deprivations, enjoying Dutch oven meals at night. The mountain bike outfitters also provide vehicle support.
