Free, clear sparkling soda water still is available in a beautiful Soda Springs city park located two miles north from the center of town. A prime attraction for more than 160 years, soda water from these springs was marked nationally after rail service reached this resort area in 1882. W.H. Hooper, Salt Lake City's leading banker and president of Zions Cooperative Merchantile Institution, had his summer home here. He did much to found and promote Soda Springs and its soda water industry while serving as Utah's delegate to Congress.

See how they lived and worked daily.
Intermountain Equifest Pocatello ID June20-23 We will have trail riding competition, extreme cowboy race, posse drill presentation, grand entry, horse show, barrel racing, pole bending, bucket races, flag races, and kids games. Horseback and on foot.
Malad Valley Welsh Festival Malad City ID June28-July1 Today, Malad Valley has the largest per capita concentration of people of Welsh ancestry outside the country of Wales itself. For that reason, many residents of the Valley wanted to reestablish their Welsh roots. In 2005, after a 90 year break, this annual cultural event, now called the Malad Valley Welsh Festival, once again became a reality.
Eastern Idaho State Fair Blackfoot ID August31-September7 The Eastern Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot begins Labor Day and features horse racing, demolition derby, rodeo, and top name stars along with the excitement of the midway rides and wide range of food booths. The fair has all the traditional elements of an agricultural fair, including exhibits and 4-H competition.

Portneuf Greenway Foundation RiverFest Pocatello ID August17-September17 This is a one day festival which features local and regional bands. This year's headliner band is The Clumsy Lovers. We also have craft booths, commercial booths and lots of great food. There will be a horseshoe tournament as well as our famous raffle. In previous years we have given away camp trailers, boats and cars.
