Idaho City

The biggest of the gold rush boomtowns in Idaho, Idaho City was in fact at one point one of the largest cities in the Pacific Northwest. More gold was mined from the mountains in this area than from all of Alaska.

Idaho City affords you the opportunity to relive the old west. You can wet your whistle in an authentic saloon, scout the town, or just wander through the area.

On Hwy 21 north of Boise, Idaho City is the county seat of Boise County.
