Idaho State Capitol

Located in the heart of Boise's downtown area and constructed in the classical style of the nation's Capitol in Washington, D.C., the stone for this majestic structure is Boise's native sandstone. Marble from Alaska, Georgia, Vermont, and Italy complete the structure, which is a topped by a 170 centimeter bronze eagle. Begin your tour at the Visitors Center in the lower level, where you'll find information on self-guided tours. Guided tours can be arranged by contacting The Idaho Travel Council
