Kooskia National Fish Hatchery

Two miles east of Kooskia along the Middle Fork-Clearwater River, the hatchery collects adult spring chinook salmon from May to August. Eggs are incubated, reared, and smolts are released 18 months later.A self guided tour and brochures are available from 7:30 to 4:00 daily. Closed all major holidays. Mill Pond Interpretive trail is located across from the main hatchery entrance and is open daily.
