Kooskia National Fish Hatchery

Two miles east of Kooskia along the Middle Fork-Clearwater River, the hatchery collects adult spring chinook salmon from May to August. Eggs are incubated, reared, and smolts are released 18 months later.

A self guided tour and brochures are available from 7:30 to 4:00 daily. Closed all major holidays.

Mill Pond Interpretive trail is located across from the main hatchery entrance and is open daily.
