Kootenai River |
The Kootenai River has its headwaters in southeast British Columbia. It is is dammed in Montana, forming Koocanusa Lake. Afterwards, its waters flow westward into northern Idaho, where they are joined by those of the Moyie River, also of Canadian origin. It then passes through Bonners Ferry and heads back north into Canada.
