Beautiful Lake Pend Oreille is the largest lake in Idaho, with an area of 180 square miles. Its overall length is 65 miles and its greatest width is 15 miles. It drains into the Pend Oreille River at Sandpoint. Lake Pend Oreille is one of three major lakes contained within Idaho Panhandle National Forests.
